Royalmont Academy Grade School
School is one of the educational environments in which we develop through learning how to live, how to become grown-up, mature men and women who can travel, who can follow the road of life. How does school help you to grow? It helps you not only by developing your intelligence, but also by an integral formation of all the aspects of your personality. |
The grade school at Royalmont Academy offers a nurturing, loving environment where children are encouraged to explore, create and elaborate. Our Formators are dedicated to our mission of forming Christian leaders. This mission is achieved through the educational philosophy of Integral Formation in which each child receives personalized attention that enables them to reach their fullest potential.
Beginning in kindergarten and building through 4th Grade, learning is fostered in a supportive environment where students become active learners who take risks, ask questions, think critically and are able to communicate their knowledge to others. Our developmentally appropriate curriculum includes language arts, reading, math, science, history, religion and Spanish, as well as regular instruction in music, art, and physical education.
Character formation is an essential part of a Royalmont Education. Formators use age-appropriate discipline techniques to help students learn to make responsible and internally motivated decisions thus building strong character. Through virtue campaigns, our students are taught to internalize and practice Christian virtue so they are able to freely choose what is right and just.
The educational experience for Royalmont Upper School students (grades 5-8) consists of an ideal level of age-appropriate structure and supervision, coupled with a gradual increase of independence as they progress toward High School. Our academically rigorous program puts an emphasis on writing and critical thinking. Students receive instruction in the core subjects as well as Latin, Spanish, religion, music, art, and physical education. Technology is integrated into the classroom in order to enhance learning and help students develop the skills necessary for success in today’s world.
Our Upper School Formators are dedicated to each grade, establishing a team environment where the emphasis is on knowing and loving each student individually. At Royalmont, we recognize each child as a unique gift from God – not a name or number on a list.
In line with our mission, Upper School students are viewed as the student leaders of the school. From leading Morning Assembly for the whole school to planning retreats for younger students, Upper School students are given every possible opportunity to develop their leadership skills.
