Royalmont Academy Preschool
There is only one first day of school. We recognize each child is a gift from God. Therefore, we strive to instill virtues, academics, and character formation, as is developmentally appropriate, to provide a strong foundation for Christian leadership skills to grow. Our Preschool Program holds high academic standards, but is flexible to meet the needs of each student’s developmental stage. At The Preschool at Royalmont Academy students minds are challenged and peeked in a state of the art environment. From prayers in the morning to fun-filled learning for the rest of the day, Preschool students at Royalmont Academy thrive in a warm, loving, creative environment.
Within our distinctive learning environment, students know they are safe and loved, and thus feel secure enough to begin (even at age 3) to explore and gain self confidence in their God-given talents. It is the perfect foundation upon which to prepare for the rigorous academic life that leads to a successful Royalmont graduate. Preschool students study Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Spanish, as well as Religion in a multifaceted way. Students also enjoy a variety of special activities such as art, music, chapel visits, show and tell and library visits. Our low student/teacher ratios allow us to give personal attention to each child to ensure all students’ academic needs are being met. |
SPOTLIGHT - ROYALMONT PRESCHOOL When asked about what makes Royalmont Preschool uniquely Catholic, Mrs. Lieb shared some of her thoughts, "We teach children their faith by relating Jesus' teachings to our own family and school lives with our R.C.L. curriculum, we introduce the children to their faith in a developmentally appropriate way using bible story time, and we introduce our Catholic traditions such as praying the rosary, using holy water, and going to prayer services and all school masses throughout the year. We also have a monthly virtue campaign where children are rewarded for practicing specific virtues throughout the year. We love having special visits from our priest and the consecrated women of Regnum Christi. We have special pre-k masses where Father celebrates and teaches the students and their parents about specific parts of the mass. At Christmas the children bring their own baby Jesus' to be blessed for Advent. All holy days are celebrated and instead of Halloween the children are encouraged to learn about a saint and dress like that saint for our all Saints parade." |
